What are delta beverages?

You mean besides magically delicious and utterly transformative, right?‍

Well, broadly speaking, these non-alcoholic drinks are infused with itty-bitty cannabinoid particles that enter your bloodstream far faster than other edibles, like weed gummies. Most people can feel delta beverages working in just 10-15 minutes!

What do delta beverages taste like?

The good news here is you’ve got endless possibilities, so you’re sure to find a drink to love.‍

- Enjoy the taste of weed? Some drinks are very weed flavor-forward.

- Does sweetness bring you joy? Some drink makers mask the cannabis flavor with loads of sugar to satisfy your sweet tooth.

- Not a fan of sugary drinks or the cannabis flavor? Like a mixologist creating a fabulous cocktail, we carefully craft our delta beverages with all-natural flavorings that work with the taste of weed so it blends perfectly.

Just share your preferences with someone at your friendly, neighborhood THC dispensary or liquor store. They’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!

What delta beverage is right for me: d8, d9, or d10?

Well, that really depends on the experience you’re looking for—and to answer that question, we’re gonna talk science, baby.

First, it’s good to know a little bit about cannabinoids.

You’re here—looking for the 411 on delta beverages. So, chances are pretty good you’ve heard of Cannabis sativa. It’s the most common cannabis plant variety, and it contains more than 100 compounds called cannabinoids. Delta-8, delta-9, and delta-10 are just a few.‍

Not to dive too deeply into college Chem 101, but the secret to how these different cannabinoids shape your mood, behavior, and awareness of the wonderful world around you is in the location of a chemical double bond. When it appears on a cannabinoid’s 9th carbon atom, for example, it’s named for this unique structural difference—delta-9.

Here’s a handy cannabinoid primer.

Delta-9 THC, or d9:
This is the most well-understood cannabinoid. The active and naturally-occurring compound found in the cannabis plant, a synthetic version was also patented by the FDA back in the 80s to help chemo patients manage their nausea.‍ It’s also the one mostly responsible for the fabulous feel-good feeling you get from smoking marijuana.

Delta-8 THC, or d8: Because of, well, science, this cannabinoid doesn’t bind to a particular receptor in your body as strongly as d9, so you won’t feel the same euphoric high.‍ It’s why people using cannabis for medical reasons sometimes prefer d8 (though it hasn’t been FDA-approved).

Delta-10 THC, or d10: This cannabinoid is new to the market, and scientists just don’t know much about it yet.‍ It’s less psychoactive than d9, and we guess you could say the scientifically-proven benefits of this derivative of hemp CBD are…TBD.

Word to the wise: Look for third-party testing!

Responsible delta beverage companies send their drinks out to a third-party lab for testing—and they publish their results. Look for brands that do this. It will give you confidence in the experience you’re paying for.
